Welcome to the the Pasadena-Foothills chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby, a nonprofit, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies and legislation to address climate change. We train and support volunteers to reclaim their democracy and engage elected officials and the media to generate the political will for solutions that will stabilize the Earth’s climate. The Foothills chapter encompasses the communities of East LA, Glendale, La Cañada, Pasadena, Arcadia, Monterrey Park and all those in between.
You can find out more about the national group here : http://citizensclimatelobby.org/.
What we do:
Here in the Pasadena-Foothills chapter, we take our message to local representatives and to the public. We write letters and personally lobby our members of congress. We organize seminars on the science and economics of global warming. And we get heard! You can find a list of letters to the editor, articles about us, and other news on the “Blog” tab at the top of the page.
We hope you will join us. Our regular meetings are the second Saturday of each month from 9:30 AM to noon, email us for directions. At the meetings, we join a national conference call and hear experts describe various aspects of climate change, and get updates from groups around the country.
